Sydney House Chelsea is a 21-bedroomed town house hotel set in a Grade II listed building, minutes from the King's Road, Knightsbridge and the fashionable part of London's Fulham Road, known as The Beach.

Behind its Georgian exterior the Hotel has been designed for private guests and international business travellers alike. Sydney House Chelsea offers sleek modern accommodation within the atmosphere of a private house.

There is no wheelchair access, as the building is heritage listed, and no alterations are possible.

The hotel is located within the city centre area.

Accessible bus stop is located on Sydney Place 100m from the hotel.

The closest London Underground Tube Station is South Kensington 500m from the hotel, however the station is without wheelchair access.

Car Parking and Arrival

There are no car park facilities at the hotel. However there are three car parks located nearby operated by NCP car parks www.ncp.co.uk .

The hotel’s main entrance and drop off point are situated on 11 Sydney Street.

There are two steps to the front door without handrails or wheelchair access.

Assistance can be provided with luggage.

Main Entrance and Reception Area
The main entrance is on Sydney Street. The entrance has two steps without ramp or wheelchair access due to the fact that the building is listed and no alterations are possible.

There is no alternative access.

The door is operated by a door closing mechanism and push is needed to enter.

The flooring is wood with a runner carpet leading to reception.

Reception desk is 110cm high. Registration can be completed whilst seated and a clipboard is available on request.

The reception desk has an induction loop fitted and the registration card can be enlarged if required.

The restaurant is located on the lower ground floor – staircase access with hand rails only.

Public areas – Lounge, Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc

The lift has no audible enunciation or tactile buttons and is too small to accommodate a wheelchair.

Lift serves ground floor and floors 1-4. Access to the 5th floor is via carpeted stairs with handrails.

There are no wheelchair accessible bedrooms.

A lounge area is located on the ground floor reception area.

Public Toilets and Baby Changing areas

A unisex public toilet is located on the lower ground floor and is accessible via wooden staircase with handrails only – no wheelchair access.

Toilet flooring is non-slip ceramic tile.

There are no baby changing facilities.

Restaurant

The restaurant is located on the lower ground floor via 14 wooden steps with a handrail.

The restaurant floor surface is polished wood.

Restaurant tables and chairs are moveable. Restaurant chairs have no arms and tables have a central support.

Menus can be enlarged upon request. A portable induction loop is available.

Breakfast and restaurant meals can be served in the bar/lounge area upon request.

Bedrooms

There are no accessible bedrooms that could provide specific facilities for guests with moving disabilities or accommodate a wheelchair access.

Audible indication of fire alarm only.

Flooring in the bedrooms is either wood or short pile carpet.

Air conditioning is fully controllable in all bedrooms.

Hypoallergenic bedding is available on request.

All bedrooms are non-smoking.

Bathrooms

All bathrooms are en-suite and 8 rooms have entry level showers.

There are no grab rails around the shower but a shower stool can be provided on request.

Flooring is non-slip ceramic.

No alarm cords are fitted.

Additional information

We have a set of evacuation procedures. The alarm signal is a wave siren. In the event of fire please follow the instructions posted on the bedroom wall near the entrance. Make your way towards the nearest fire exit. Should you require it someone will come to your room and assist you with evacuation.

A water bowl can be supplied for bedrooms where necessary for assistance dogs.

There is  a good coverage of mobile telephone signal throughout the hotel

The nearest general hospital with A&E  unit and NHS walk in facility is Chelsea & Westminster Hospital located on 369 Fulham Road  SW10 9NH

Free Wi-Fi signal is available throughout the building.
